Wraparound/Out of School Development Worker

Fixed Term Contract until 30 Sep 2026

Grade

Working 36.5 hours per week

We currently have a vacancy in the Early Years and Childcare Service for a Wraparound /Out of School Development Worker. The successful candidate will join a team of 3 managed by the Wraparound Childcare and HAF Project Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to support providers from across the sector to create new or to expand existing before and after school wraparound provision for primary school aged children in line with the government expectation that every primary school aged child will have access to a before and after school place if needed by September 2026.

The current focus of the team is to support providers with their Wraparound Childcare Start Up funding applications to Birmingham City Council. This includes advising providers on all the fundamental elements that meet a compliant funding application e.g. meeting Ofsted Welfare requirements and sound financial business planning leading to a funding application review and presenting recommendations to the Wraparound Funding Panel.
