Position Overview

We are seeking experienced TIG/Flux Core Welders to join our clients team in Joplin MO. These are long-term opportunities with excellent pay and potential for direct hire. The TIG/Flux Core Welder will be responsible for fabricating aligning and welding structural components such as machinery frames tanks pressure vessels and piping systems ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lay out position align and weld components according to blueprints and metallurgy.
Use multiple welding processes including MIG TIG and Flux Core in all positions (2G 3G 4G 5G 6G).
Operate welding equipment for plate pipe tube and structural shapes.
Weld in flat horizontal vertical and overhead positions as required.
Select pipe equipment and layouts using knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
Start and monitor welding units adjust amperage/voltage and guide electrodes or guns to create strong clean welds.
Manually apply filler rod and clean/degrease weld joints as needed.
Inspect and repair welds removing defects slag or spatter when necessary.

Requirements

Technical certification (company qualification tests) or NCCER preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Proven welding experience in industrial or related environments.
Proficiency in SMAW GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
Ability to certify on multi-process pipe welding.
Knowledge of commonly used welding concepts standards and procedures.
Strong attention to precision quality and safety.
Ability to make decisions based on measurable criteria.
X-ray quality welding experience may be required.
