The Role

The Assessment Officer is primarily responsible for the assessment of incoming information about those regulated by the BSB and taking decisions on whether complaints should be referred for consideration of enforcement supervision or other types of action. The post holder is expected to own a range of cases of varying complexity within agreed timescales. The post holder will contribute to the teams handling of general enquiries.

The Bar Standards Board (BSB) regulates barristers and their professional practice and specialised legal services businesses in England and Wales in the public interest. We are responsible for setting education and training requirements setting standards authorising organisations monitoring the service provided and handling complaints.
