Job purpose
The Pillow Sewer is responsible for operating sewing machine to join reinforce or perform related sewing operations to products; accountable for the safe work practice; promote and implement the companys core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.
Duties and responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewer with single and double needle.
- Responsible for straight line sewing on pillows bedding and cushions with padding.
- Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
- Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.
- Demonstrates a commitment to C&F Enterprises Inc. core values.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma and/or equivalent experience
- Must have the ability to complete work assignments in a high production and high volume environment
- 3-5 years of sewing experience preferred
Physical requirements
- Sitting Standing Walking
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
- Good eye-hand coordination and sense of balance
- Exposure to varied temperatures within warehouse environment
- Work inside and outside; work around machinery with moving parts and vehicles
- Carrying pushing pulling boxes and items; up to 40 lbs at times.
