We are currently seeking skilled Marine Electricians for a potential 5-year project in Norfolk VA. This opportunity involves hands-on labor working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment will begin only if and when the company secures the government contract associated with this role.

Overview:

Perform installation troubleshooting and repair of shipboard electrical systems on U.S. Navy vessels.

Responsibilities:

Install and repair wiring panels and controls.
Test and troubleshoot electrical systems with meters and analyzers
Interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.

Install and maintain temporary shipboard power sources.
Set up lighting distribution panels and power outlets.
Inspect and test temporary circuits for safety.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.

Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance .
High school diploma/GED; completion of a formal trade training program (trade school military training apprenticeship or equivalent) .
4 years as an electrician with at least 2 years on Navy ships
Knowledge of NFPA 70E and shipyard electrical standards OR Knowledge of temporary power safety standards.
