Required Experience Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience is required.
Seeking an experienced Tool & Die Room Supervisor with a strong background in stamping to oversee toolroom operations and provide leadership to a skilled team. This role will be hands-on in building maintaining and troubleshooting stamping dies while also mentoring team members prioritizing workflow and collaborating with production to ensure quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the tool & die room including toolmakers machinists and apprentices.
- Schedule and prioritize die maintenance repair and new tooling projects to meet production needs.
- Oversee tool and die troubleshooting ensuring quick and effective resolution of tooling issues.
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures ensuring quick and effective resolution of tooling issues.
Qualifications
- 5 years of tool & die experience in metal stamping with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of progressive transfer and/or line dies.
- Hands on experience with toolroom equipment (mills lathes grinders EDM etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills in stamping die repair and maintenance.
