Job Summary

An industry leader in the metals sector- manufacturing tools/equipment is seeking a Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. You would be responsible for developing relationships with key customers to determine their product needs and sell various product forms. Managing targeted accounts and exercising independent judgment in making tactical and strategic decisions are also vital skills. The comp package includes a base of $150k (DOE) plus commission.

Responsibilities:

Maintain relationship and grow sales with current customer base
Grow your customer base by cold calling and networking in steel industry circles
Perform inside sales including telemarketing prospecting account penetration and product application consulting and delivery of customer service.
Prospect and generate sales revenue by adding new program residential customers and cross selling and upselling current residential customers.
Utilize the internet for sourcing leads and obtaining competitive and marketing data
Communicate with inside sales staff and management to relay customer service needs in a respectful and timely manner
Perform inside sales including telemarketing prospecting account penetration and product application consulting and delivery of customer service.

Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in business or related field of study is preferred
Sales experience in the metals industry is required
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including use of Microsoft Office applications
Confidence in one-on-one interactions and cold calling
Strong attention to detail including the ability to prioritize and multitask
A proven record of negotiating and securing new business
Ability to write general business correspondence and reply in a timely manner as well as effectively present information and respond to questions
