Job Description
Clinical Nurse Specialist Patient at Risk Team
Salary Band $116000 - $127000 p.a prorata Kiwisaver

- 0.75 FTE / 60 hours per fortnight

About the role
- Reporting to the ACNM for PaR
- Rotating shifts Monday to Sunday with 12 and 8 hour shifts available
- Strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care
- Use advanced clinical skills to identify patients at risk and work closely with the primary teams to monitor and implement interventions to prevent deterioration.
- Provide specialist PaR nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery
- Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill
- Act in the roles of clinician educator consultant researcher leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes.
- Supported to complete the required NZ outreach nurse competency assessment.

About you
- Current Nursing council registration and APC
- Proven clinical nursing experience in acute or critical care ED/ICU/HDU
- Working towards relevant Post graduate qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma or/and a masters degree e.g. health assessment critical care.
- Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care HDU ED or ICU nursing.
- Current Core Advanced certification
- Holds Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP or level 3 and working towards level 4.
Salary range
This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($116040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127674 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
