Job Summary
Job Description:
A Reporting & Analytics Datasphere Consultant/BW4HANA role involvesdesigning developing and implementing data warehousing solutions using SAP Datasphere and BW/4HANA to extract transform and load data for comprehensive reporting and analytics requiring expertise in data modeling data quality and creating visualizations to support business decision-making within an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs identify data sources and define reporting requirements for data warehousing solutions. - Data Modeling:
Design and build data models within Datasphere and BW/4HANA including dimension and fact tables to optimize data access and analysis. - Data Extraction and Transformation (ETL):
Develop ETL processes using Datasphere to extract data from various source systems cleanse transform and load it into the data warehouse. - Reporting Development:
Create comprehensive reports and dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other visualization tools leveraging data from the data warehouse to provide insights. - Performance Optimization:
Monitor system performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data processing and query execution. - Data Quality Management:
Establish data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity within the data warehouse. - Implementation and Deployment:
Deploy data warehouse solutions including configuration testing and user training. - Technical Support:
Provide technical support to users on data warehouse queries reporting issues and system maintenance.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in SAP BW/4HANA and Datasphere:
Deep understanding of data modeling data extraction transformation and loading functionalities within the platform. - Data Warehousing Concepts:
Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling data mart design and data quality best practices. - Reporting and Visualization Tools:
Expertise in using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other visualization tools to create interactive reports and dashboards. - SQL and Programming Skills:
Proficiency in SQL queries and potentially scripting languages like ABAP to manipulate and extract data. - Business Acumen:
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and understand key business metrics. - Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and present technical concepts clearly.
