Whats the role

Global KYC & Onboarding is part of the Group Customer Operations WIB & Group Treasury Operations (WIBTO). We support the Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) and we pride ourselves on being a business unit that is equipped to meet the ever-changing needs of the market while remaining committed to our different customers stakeholders and products.

The Manager KYC Services will be part of the KYC & AML Quality Assurance team and will be responsible for BAU and ad-hoc duties predominantly conducting quality assurance assessments on completed KYC files to ensure accuracy in accordance with the internal and external KYC requirements; Incident and/or Issue Management controls assessments and supporting KYC & AML policy/ procedure change implementation. The role will be working closely with various stakeholders such as the Financial Crime Compliance Team KYC Operations Team Management Team and Project Teams.

It also involves delivering ongoing knowledge upskilling to KYC teams through mentoring coaching and training while supporting the development and implementation of a QA framework aligned with AML/CFT guidelines and regulatory standards.

What do I need

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in KYC (Customer Onboarding and/or Ongoing Due Diligence) with 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance role is preferred
  • Strong understanding of KYC / AML particularly in FI Corporate and Funds
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure and a strong team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
