A Brief Overview
This position provides individual crisis and short-term counselling to students with mental health personal and academic concerns utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities and approaches matched to client needs. This position works within an interdisciplinary team to support student well-being and assists with managing urgent/crisis situations. This position also supports students in developing skills in areas such as interpersonal relationships stress-reduction developmental concerns management of emotions mindfulness conflict resolution emotional regulation and strategies to assist in overcoming mental barriers to performance.
