Key job responsibilities
An Amazon Leo Supply Chain Component Engineer combines supply chain strategy with component-level expertise overseeing the selection management and performance of specific components within our supply chain. You will have the opportunity to work closely with procurement engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and resolve risks associated with component lifecycle multi-sourcing and quality for LEO satellites.

Key job responsibilities
This position spans a breadth and depth of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Providing technical guidance and support to engineering supply chain and manufacturing as a subject matter expert
Creating / reviewing / improving / maintaining our Supply Chain Component Engineering methods processes and procedures
Researching alternative components to continually improve satellite designs
Conducting and reviewing component research on equivalent components to expand our component library
Managing component failure analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
