Civmec are currently seeking Experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Construction division working on a 2:1 DIDO roster.
This is a great opportunity to join our team and be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering both Civil and SMP packages on a long term project.
The Role
- Conduct fault finding for breakdowns
- Maintain stock of hydraulic mechanic electronic and pneumatic materials
- Assemble metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment
- Complete mechanical checklists and weekly inspections of plant and machinery
- Conduct marking and lining out
- Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment hand tools tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task
- Maintain and keep tools and equipment in a safe area. Lock them away or return to store when not required
- Follow quality control systems and techniques
- Housekeeping
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue)
- RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space(within 2 years of issue)
- Previous experience on construction projects
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- High Risk Work Licence (EWP) Preferred although not mandatory
