We are proud of our ever-expanding portfolio of projects covering tank and bridge engineering and construction terminal expansions infrastructure remediation technical EPCM services and industrial electrical/process automation solutions.

Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the Saunders International team on a permanent full-time basis. This role can be based at any of our Saunders offices in NSW QLD or VIC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) will play a vital role in driving the commercial and financial success of a portfolio of business units within Saunders International Group. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner the FBP will work closely with operational and project leaders to provide financial support insight and analysis. The role is central to ensuring effective cost control of projects including the accurate recording controlling forecasting and reporting of all financial matters while proactively helping to improve performance and support strategic decision-making across the business

ABOUT YOU

Essential

  • Industry exposure in construction resources or relevant major projects
  • Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA) with approximately 5 years experience or proven experience in a similar advisory-focused finance role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into business drivers and support decision-making.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated experience in budgeting forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Clear confident communicator who can influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient to expert in Microsoft Excel with strong skills in data management analysis and presentation.
  • Solid understanding of reconciliations and maintaining financial accuracy.
  • Proven problem-solving ability with critical and analytical thinking.
  • Strong organisational skills attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Appetite to drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness particularly within construction and asset services projects.
  • Adaptable resilient and thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Desirable

  • Experience using Jobpac ERP or similar project-based systems is desirable.
