Key Competencies:
Proven experience leading Unity game development teams with a strong focus on performance stability (high CFR) and mobile-first gameplay experiences.
Prior experience managing a full stack team in the game development studio
Hands-on management experience leading high-performing teams of engineers and/or engineering managers
Hire retain and develop the careers of the engineers on your team
Coach and motivate your team to ensure high productivity and teamwork and help each individual achieve their potential
Encourage and drive initiatives that promote innovation and technical excellence
Interface with other internal teams to prioritize features and functionality based on the resources available and business priorities
Clearly communicate any risk areas to upper management and come up with risk mitigation plans
Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Experience communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Work with Product Leadership and core engineering teams to develop and track detailed schedules dependencies and critical paths
Collaborate effectively with all project stakeholders including Product Management Finance Data teams etc
Nice to have: Expertise in integrating Unity with React Native SDKs ensuring seamless cross-platform communication and optimized hybrid architecture.
Experience:
6 years of hands-on experience in mobile and/or game development including Unity and cross-platform technologies.
2 years of experience as an Engineering Manager leading teams of 5 engineers across gameplay SDK or platform engineering.
Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and performance optimization across both iOS and Android platforms.
Experience designing scalable systems reviewing code and maintaining high-quality standards across engineering teams.
Background in the gaming industry
Strong tenure in past roles (2 years per role) with a consistent track record of career progression and team impact.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Game Development or a related technical field or equivalent industry experience.
