GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join the Finance team!


As the Accounting Clerk you will play key role in ensuring accurate and organized financial records while supporting the Finance teams daily operations. Youll be responsible for processing invoices reconciling statements managing accounts payable and receivable and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. You will bring to this role strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handling of accounts payable and receivables.
  • Monitor Finance dept email account to receive invoices and respond to payment inquiries.
  • Assemble code enter and post invoices. Flag any invoice discrepancies.
  • Complete credit applications.
  • Respond to vendors regarding payment inquiries.
  • Process customer credit card payments.
  • Weekly Timesheets: review weekly submission report verify accuracy and prepare for posting/processing.
  • Manage Petty Cash disbursements and reconciliation.
  • Handle bank deposits.
  • Filing and organization maintain orderly filing system and manage financial records.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business bookkeeping accounting.
  • 2 to 5 years previous Accounts Payable / Receivable experience.
  • Experience using Accounting Software Sage 300 preferred.
  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to analyze information and spreadsheets and demonstrate accuracy and quality.
  • Self-starter and strong ability to effectively prioritize projects tasks resources and deadlines.
  • Effective communicator and the ability to actively listen with team members and managers.
  • Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work and prioritize accordingly.

Security Requirements
