As aVHP (Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide) Account Manager for our Life Science team you will lead the promotion and sales of mobile and integrated VHP solutions within your assigned region. Collaborating closely with the Equipment and Services team VHP Applications team and the Vice President of Equipment Sales and Service youll drive growth by delivering innovative decontamination solutions to a wide range of industries. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a passion for technical sales and a strong understanding of contamination control in regulated environments.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Managing your territory to meet or exceed sales targets for VHP equipment consumables and services
- Building strong long-term relationships with customers across pharmaceutical manufacturing biotechnology research labs medical devices food and beverage and OEM sectors
- Providing expert consultation and support throughout the sales cycle
- Offering regular market insights and accurate monthly financial forecasts
- Balancing travel and time management to maximize customer engagement and territory coverage
What you will do as a VHP Account Manager
- Collaborates with local equipment and services teams to identify target customers.
- Prospects new accounts promotes VHP solutions and prepares and delivers sales presentations and quotations.
- Meets financial targets through sales of VHP equipment consumables and services while effectively managing time travel and territory investments.
- Engages with customers daily via phone email and in-person to address commercial requests technical inquiries and product-related concerns.
- Coordinates with Customer Operations Applications Management and Field Service teams to ensure accurate quoting timely delivery proper installation and successful demonstrationswhile protecting margins.
- Expands business through customer networking trade shows and professional organizations (e.g. PDA ISPE AP3) including organizing or attending relevant events.
- Shares customer feedback and voice-of-customer (VOC) insights into marketing to support new product launches.
- CRM Management: Tracking leads opportunities and pipelines logging sales activities and entering/updating Customer information
- Proposal and Quote preparation: Use pricing and product configurations to prepare and follow up on quotes
- Reporting and Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts with monthly project and industry updates.
- Training & Product Knowledge: Completes compliance training and maintains technical and professional proficiency through continuous education opportunities. Stays current on product changes and new offerings.
The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelors degree
- Strong communication and presentation skills with Customers
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint Excel Word)
Preferred:
- Prior Life Science related sales experience
- 5 years of proven business to business technical sales experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Science or other Technical discipline
- Business Acumen Results oriented with the skills and desire to meet Customer and STERIS needs. Negotiates favorable outcomes with an emphasis on ROI. Able to lead sales situations and applicable training and seminars
- Technical Knowledge Understands STERIS and competitive products along with Customer applications. Understands basic engineering practices and has technical expertise and ability to train others on STERIS VHP Solutions
- Communication Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external Customers. Delivers effective written and oral communication in large and small groups. Skilled listener that adapts style based on situational cues and demands
- Collaboration Builds and maintains collaborative relationships cross-functionally internally and externally. Openly shares information across all departments and business units while assisting peers with learning and developmental efforts

Base salary range for this opportunity is $106250 - $130000. This position is incentive plan eligible at target total earnings range from $170000 - $208000.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
