Your New Role

As a permanent full-time Park Specialist you will be providing essential support across a wide range of administrative financial and customer service functions. Youll manage vendor payments reconcile revenue track budgets and maintain inventory of controlled items and assets. Your role includes supporting HR and payroll processes assisting with recruitment onboarding and training and ensuring compliance with agency policies. Youll also oversee office operationshandling communications maintaining records coordinating meetings and travel and serving as the units IT and safety reporting contact. With a strong focus on accuracy organization and service youll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations while contributing to a positive inclusive and respectful workplace culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience as an administrative or program support specialist. Administrative support entails those duties beyond clerical or secretarial such as: interpretation of laws rules and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; evaluation and explanation of administrative processes operations or projects;

OR

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • One year of post-secondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.

Special Requirements:

  • To be hired a criminal record and driving record check must be completed that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire and throughout employment while also maintaining a valid drivers license.

Desired Attributes:

  • Experience performing technical or administrative program support functions requiring independent judgment and decision making.

  • Experience in general office coordination.

  • Experience researching and analyzing information to clarify issues resolve problems and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

  • Experience developing clear and concise written documents including procedural instructions guidelines reports training materials and responses to inquiries.

  • Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion in fast-paced environments with clerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.

  • Experience using computers for data collection organization and entry as well as report preparation with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
