Job Description
Construction Labourer
Firma Contracting is currently seeking Labourers to work on underground projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages work / life balance great opportunity for advancement training and potential for work over the winter.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Physical tasks including digging sweeping lifting shoveling and moving materials
Ensure safety fences / barricades are all in place
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
Actively participate in all safety meetings
General site housekeeping
Required Skills:
- Previous construction experience is required
Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers carb saws etc.
Ability to work long hours (10 hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks including lifting shoveling moving heavy materials up to 50lbs
Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
Positive attitude / team player
Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
Required Certifications:
CSTS 2020
WHMIS 2015
