Tintern Grammar is seeking a dedicated and experienced educator to take on the role of Head of Learning Enhancement (Secondary). This is a full time ongoing secondary teaching position with the Position of Responsibility as Head of Learning Enhancement (Secondary) offered for a limited tenure of 3 years effective from Term 1 2026.
About the Role
The Head of Learning Enhancement (Secondary) is responsible for leading the team that supports students with additional needs and enrichment programs across the secondary school. The role involves overall management of the Secondary Learning Enhancement faculty including communication with students parents staff and external professionals while providing advice and support to classroom teachers to cater for individual differences.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching along with strong leadership and management skills in supporting students with diverse learning needs. You will demonstrate as relevant:
Current VIT registration and relevant qualifications
Extensive experience working in Learning Enhancement Education within a secondary school setting
Knowledge of relevant regulations reporting obligations and compliance processes (such as NCCD and VCAA requirements)
Strong leadership team management and mentoring skills
Ability to guide and support teachers in modifying curriculum and materials for diverse learners
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with students parents staff and external professionals
Organisational capacity to manage resources programs and staff effectively
A proven commitment to innovation continuous improvement and the wellbeing of students
