Job Title: Principal Technical Trainer

Location: Herndon VA/Hybrid

Summary:

• Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products. Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.

• Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation field service requirements or software documentation.

• Works with engineering technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions.

• Follows up to determine applicability of course material.

• Follows up to determine applicability of course material. Developing professional expertise applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Full use and application of standard principles theories concepts and techniques.

• Provides resolution to an assortment of problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

• Builds productive internal/external working relationships. Normally receives general instructions on routine work detailed instructions on new projects or assignments; work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.

• Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives.

Requirements:

• 7 years demonstrated experience designing and delivering instructor-led technical training (virtual and/or in-person)

• General enterprise data and networking technical proficiency with cybersecurity proficiency desired

• Proficiency with remote training tools (e.g. Zoom Microsoft Teams Webex etc.)

• Experience working in Linux environments and with common shell commands

• Comfortable setting up and maintaining virtualized lab environments (e.g. AWS Cloud VM workstations custom sandbox environments)

• Ability to adjust content and delivery style to different technical proficiency levels and customer provided feedback

Additional Job Description

• Willing to travel up to 20%.
