Detailed Job Description:
A new vendor managed/hosted Electronic Health Record (EHR) system will replace OMHs legacy EHR systems MHARS and VISTA which are managed and supported by ITS. To support OMHs transition to a new vendor EHR system ITS will need to modify legacy interfaces and data integrations map and convert MHARS and Vista data to the new EHR build a new EHR data warehouse as well as complete several projects deemed critical by OMH to ensure readiness and preparation for the EHR implementation.
The business analyst will collaborate with OMH Business Owners and project team members to ensure a cohesive approach to business analysis data management and quality through all phases of project implementation as it pertains to Data Warehouse reporting:
Medication and vaccine data to a single schema for comprehensive medication and reporting with requested data elements from the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) application. This includes patient and pharmacy management data elements.
The Outpatient Staff Productivity (OPP) provides the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) staff with information regarding service provision. Reporting of key performance metrics for analysis of Outpatient Staff Productivity pertaining to the Adult population and Children and Youth population.
The State Facility Enterprise Reporting (SFER) site consolidates the Business Intelligence Units reporting offerings for the Office of Mental Healths State Facilities. A collection of reports is provided for inpatient outpatient residential family care and screenings census data admissions discharges and health services reports staff services patient and facility reports management indicators and statistical reports. Staff within OMH use these reports to review facility and statewide information based on admissions discharges and census numbers at each OMH facility.
The Center for Human Resources Management (CHRM) Portal allows for Office of Mental Health agency and human resources staff to easily examine key elements of established positions and their incumbents as of a selected effective date using data from the Department of Civil Services New York State Electronic Personnel System. The Overtime (OT) Portal allows easy production of overtime hours worked based reports to meet the information needs of agency management. The facilities data based on overtime hours entered into OMHs Automated Time and Attendance System is uploaded to the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) and then to the CHRM Data Warehouse.
