Job Description

Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Pay Rate: $55-$57/hr
Benefits: Health dental and vision (eligible on the 2nd month following your start date).
Employment Type: Contract 2 years

Schedule: Day Shift 8:00am 4:30pm Monday Friday

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to work on-site with our client a worldwide leader in advanced technology solutions. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you will help evaluate and improve supplier component quality of high precision machined parts. You will provide support within the PMTC organization and be responsible for supplier management and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate supplier quality resolution activities to support production quality issues or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on part failures.

  • Maintain successful relationships with suppliers the mechanical standards lab and process engineering teams.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.

  • Oversee the qualification of new parts at suppliers and manage new supplier qualification.

  • Ensure compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) regulations.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 4 5 years of relevant experience including:

    • Fabrication techniques for mechanical parts high precision machining (CNC milling & turning) assembly and finishing.

    • Ability to utilize and interpret 2D & 3D CAD data effectively.

    • Understanding of GD&T.

    • Familiarity with mechanical design practices techniques and tradeoffs.

    • Proven experience interfacing with suppliers.

  • Skills:

    • Strong project management and communication skills.

    • Proficiency in MS Office Tools.

    • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.

    • Strong team collaboration innovation and self-motivation.

    • Ability to adhere to schedules and department policies.
