Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participate to some degree in each of the following responsibilities:
Hires and TransfersInterviews selects and provides for training of employees.
Layoff and Recall - Recommends reduction in employee complement and initiates action notifies employee(s) if conditions meet specific criteria.
Promotes and Evaluates Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance recognizes performances.
Suspends and Discharges Exercises employee suspensions or discharges authority.
Assigns and Directs WorkGrants overtime; assigns & schedules.
Adjusts Grievances Meets with employees to listen to and resolve employee issues and adjust grievances.
Disciplines Implements disciplinary action.
Exercises Supervisory Authority - Develops and implements department and/or hospital policy; insures all employees are trained in policy; exercises discretion independent of policy to insure proper function of department or sub department. Manages both Campuses during the absence of the Director Facility Operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal State Local and jurisdictional codes and agencies maintaining adequate written compliance documentation.
Assures all construction projects are carried out within the Contractor Safety Policy relating to ICRA and Interim Life Safety Requirements (JCAHO and DOH).
Responsible for scheduling staff assignments and controlling staff activities for efficient operations of all assigned systems and equipment.
Ensures that facility emergency response systems are fully developed and effectively operated.
Provide adequate management direction demonstration and assistance for staff understanding of operational parameters requirements requests and tasks.
Supports Facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including preventive and corrective maintenance work orders and reporting capabilities are completed in a timely and responsive fashion.
Reviews and makes recommendations on professional services contracts for facility consultants engineers and maintenance contracts.
Reviews plans for major repairs renovations and new construction.
Provides input to the Director Facilities Operations regarding annual capital improvement needs.
Provides written reports and operational documentation.
Manages projects both equipment/system specific and operational management.
Develops negotiates recommends implements and manages equipment service contracts.
Adapts to changing operational parameters resulting in accomplishment of departmental goals and objectives.
