Fabrication Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs machine set-up machining welding set-up welding sheet metal fabrication and extrusion tube bending and fabrication tasks.

• Performs composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks.

• Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

• Assembles repairs modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.

• Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.

• Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

• Prepares test articles fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.

• Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

• Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

• Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 1 years of Aerospace Fabrication or Manufacturing experience

• 1 years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions reading and interpreting blueprints drawings or specifications in English.

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.; perform frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.; perform occasional carrying lifting pushing/pulling walking standing and balancing; perform frequent overhead reaching as well as at or above shoulder level; perform frequent sitting; and frequent climbing.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1 year of experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement Standard Work and 5-S tools)

• 1 year of experience leading any of the following: staff teams production or quality system initiatives

• 1 year of experience with managing or working to safety quality and manufacturing performance data

• 1 year of experience with sanding taping mixing material the application of paint

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $54000 - $64000
