Job Description

West Monroe seeks a diligent and detail-orientedStaff Accountant with robust financial acumen and exceptional critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a spectrum of accounting and finance tasks ranging from daily operational processes to comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly journal entries ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in all aspects of accounting including integrations acquisitions and analysis of large datasets.
- Conduct thorough month-end reconciliations of various accounts (i.e. prepaids accruals fixed assets) to validate accuracy and integrity of financial data. Identify monitor and escalate identifiable variances.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and automation initiatives within the Accounting & Finance team identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audit documentation including gathering PBC (Provided by Client) list documents to facilitate a smooth audit process.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making utilizing analytical skills to provide actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience working in a dynamic fast-paced collaborative and team-based project environment with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Exhibit strong self-motivation and exceptional analytical skills.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with senior management.
- Demonstrate adaptability to changes in the work environment embracing new challenges and evolving priorities with resilience.
- Proficiency in computer skills particularly Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint)
- Experience in ERP accounting system; knowledge of Workday/Adaptive a plus.
- Experience in billing and CRM systems such as Salesforce/Kantata.
Based on pay transparency guidelines the salaryrange for this role canvary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (seetable below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geographyexperience skills education and internal equity.
