Apprenticeship Opportunity: Refrigeration Technician
Allen Air & Refrigeration is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join its team as a full-time Apprentice Refrigeration Technician. This role offers a structured pathway into the HVAC-R industry combining hands-on experience with formal training toward a Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

The business is committed to developing future tradespeople through structured apprenticeships paid TAFE support and mentorship from experienced technicians.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with installation maintenance and repair of HVAC-R systems
- Participate in diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision
- Attend and complete TAFE training aligned with Certificate III requirements
- Maintain tools equipment and vehicles in a safe and clean condition
- Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures
- Record job details and parts used in management software
- Engage in toolbox meetings and internal training sessions
- Represent the company professionally at client sites
- Travel to various job locations as required
CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

ESSTENTIAL CRITIERIA:
- Completion of Year 11
- Current C Class drivers licence (or working toward obtaining one)
- Willingness to undertake Certificate III training
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
- Mechanical aptitude and basic problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to safe work practices and PPE compliance
Qualification: Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Location: Port Kennedy WA
The successful candidate will work alongside qualified technicians to gain practical experience in the installation maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Apprentices will also attend TAFE and complete all required assessments as part of their formal training.
