Job Title: Senior AP Accountant
Location: Dallas Texas - Hybrid
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior AP Accountantwith a strong background in accounts payable andinventory accountingto join our growing finance team. This role is highly visible within the organization and will be integral in maintaining accurate financial reporting overseeing AP operations and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
What Youll Do
- Oversee accounts payable processes including regular AP bills PO inventory bills and vendor payments.
- Reconcile freight tariffs and duties to ensure proper allocation of international inventory expenses.
- Manage key month-end close activities including accruals prepaids and specialty reconciliations (e.g. customer gift cards).
- Partner closely with operations and supply chain to confirm accurate recording of inventory-related costs.
- Maintain documentation and schedules that support internal and external audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy in AP and accounting operations.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience with emphasis on AP and inventory.
- Exposure to international inventory transactions strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Effective communicator and collaborator with the ability to manage competing priorities.
