The Opportunity
Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver 7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
SNMAP now has an exciting opportunity to recruit aSenior Electrical Engineerto join the team in Birchwood Warrington or Westlakes Cumbria
As aSenior Electrical Engineeryour responsibilities will include:
- Production of deliverables for electrical systems such as small power distribution lighting earthing fire and security systems
- Management of electrical design configuration baseline in response to developing project requirements and design information from the supply chain.
- Checking and reviewing electrical design deliverables to programme deadlines and to appropriate relevant standards codes and regulations.
- Working with the supply chain supporting design aspects of contracts in ensuring suppliers meet client Engineering Standards responding to Technical Queries.
- To integrate and coordinate the above electrical systems into the wider project via Building Interface Modelling (BIM) working with the other engineering and non-technical disciplines.
- Ensuring that throughout remaining phases of the project lifecycle the electrical design intent is aligned to safety case requirements (nuclear and conventional) and ensuring all functional requirements are met ensuring Validation and Verification is adequately managed.
As aSenior Electrical Engineeryou will have:
- BEng/MEng degree or HND/HNC in a relevant field or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Professionally registered or be working towards professional registration.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role previous Nuclear experience is highly desirable though not essential providing that suitable experience can be demonstrated.
- Evidence of their design competence through previous work and projects.
- Conversant with Trimble ProDesign / Amtech.
