Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to provide overall accounting management and support the achievement of organizational goals. This role works closely with project teams to ensure financial accuracy regulatory compliance and continued business growth. Strong organizational and prioritization skills are essential to manage day-to-day accounting operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and reconcile financial statements loan balances subledgers and credit card accounts
Prepare financial information for external tax filing including year-end 1099s and W-2s
Manage sales and use tax filings (Missouri & Illinois)
Process weekly payroll (union hourly salaried) and related entries using third-party software and Sage
Administer payroll-related tasks including deductions garnishments benefits certified payroll reports and Simple IRA contributions
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts fixed assets and intercompany transactions
Ensure compliance with union agreements including labor cost updates and wage changes
Support audits (union insurance payroll) and assist with onboarding of new employees
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Office 365 and Sage software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
