The role
As our Meeting & Events Coordinator you play a key role in creating and maintaining warm positive and unforgettable experiences for guests booking our meeting rooms and wellbeing- and event spaces. You are the welcoming face on site / front of house energizing every arrival fostering connections and inspiring confidence by ensuring every detail contributes to their happiness. As part of your daily responsibilities you will be engaged in:
- Welcome guests and locals warmly and act as the primary point of contact for meetings events and well spaces.
- Anticipate client and guest needs resolving issues promptly to secure satisfaction.
- Contribute to a positive proactive and service-driven culture that reflects brand values.
- Oversee room setups equipment and F&B packages to match event specs.
- Oversee the smooth running of meetings and events on the day acting quickly on changes monitor timings breaks and services making sure everything runs seamlessly.
- Support wellbeing space activities and ensure both meeting and wellbeing areas are guest ready.
- Continuously optimizing our current operations and proposition based on guest- employee- and The Usual feedback.
- Cross departmental collaboration and feedback between customer service team revenue brand F&B finance and legal
- Handle (potential) bookings request for proposals contracts & invoicing
- Track costs upsell packages and ensure profitability without compromising guest experience.
- We value collaboration and you getting to know (y)our hotel from inside out. You will also cover shifts in the check-in and/or U bar area. We will learn you the skills to prepare & serve all type of beverages.
Your superpowers and requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and emotionally intelligent individual with strong decision-making abilities. We are looking for someone who is a true host with passion for creating memories for our guests who lead by example. Next to this the following requirements apply:
- You are a natural host team player and breathe hospitality every day taking it to the next level;
- You have a passion for meeting & events and storytelling;
- Relevant work experience in a similar role (2 years or more);
- Fluency in English is essential additional languages are a plus;
- IT skills for relevant property management software systems (current system: event temple) POS (current system: lightspeed) & PMS (current system: Apaleo);
- Sustainability and hospitality arent just passions for you - theyre in your DNA;
- 4 days per week during working days (occasionally work during weekends and evenings);
- You are legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
