The role

As the Coordinator Configuration Changes you will be at the core of the Configuration Management process of Damen Naval ensuring smooth coordination between technical and administrative aspects. You will play a key role in overseeing change management activities ensuring requirements are clearly documented analysed and implemented with minimal disruption. You will function as the link between customers partners subcontractors suppliers and classification societies ensuring that all changes are managed effectively from initiation to completion.

Key accountabilities
In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Initiate document and oversee engineering changes ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform impact analyses and verify the appropriate change management levels.

  • Monitor progress facilitate communication and coordinate between stakeholders.

  • Organize and lead Change Board meetings documenting decisions and action points.

  • Develop and oversee change implementation plans ensuring clear execution and communication.

  • Finalize and close out changes post-implementation and verification.

  • Provide support to the document control team as needed.


Skill & experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree with a strong inclination towards administrative tasks in a complex technical environment.

  • A proactive and structured approach with a drive to complete tasks efficiently and support colleagues effectively.

  • Expertise in naval engineering concepts and practices.

  • Solid knowledge of configuration management and change control processes.

  • Experience in handling administrative tasks in a PDM system for complex products and projects.

  • The ability to manage and interpret data from multiple applications and sources.

  • Strong attention to detail precision discipline social sensitivity resilience and customer orientation.

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English with proficiency in German considered advantageous.

  • Excellent references as a security screening is part of the hiring process.

  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
