Brand Specialist Marketing

Role Summary

Reporting to the Brand Director this role is a member of the Brand Content and Proposition team under Manulife Japan (MLJ)s Marketing department. It is expected to work closely with other teams including growth marketing customer experience advanced analytics and corporate communications. Collaboration beyond marketing functions is also key to ensure MLJ delivers the brand promise with contributions from internal and external stakeholders.

Additionally this role will collaborate with regional and global brand teams across business units to ensure alignment between global/Asia branding strategy and local branding strategy co-create regional branding activities and share best practices across business units.

Job Description

Brand Marketing support:

  • Assist in the planning execution and monitoring of brand marketing campaigns across traditional and non-traditional media channels.
  • Help coordinate with creative media and content teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Monitor competitors brand and communications activities and share with team to support strategic planning and campaign optimization.
  • Track and collect marketing campaign assets providing regular reports to share with regional teams.
  • Keep track of project schedules and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Communicate with external vendors and partners to traffic projects and support the team.

Brand Engagement support

  • Support the planning and execution of events/ symposiums influencer initiatives.
  • Support the team in searching for Brand PR /CSR partnership opportunities.
  • Draft internal and external messages to inform brand campaign launches.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to ensure internal and external communications reflect local brand values.

Maintain Brand Consistency and Governance:

  • Understand Manulifes Brand Identity and guidelines and support the team to implement and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all collaterals..
  • As part of the Brand team serve as a brand guardian ensuring all activities and communications align with the brands values and identity.
  • Support brand reviews to ensure all departments adhere to branding standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing/ Communications PR or related field.
  • 02 years of experience (internships included) in brand marketing PR or communications.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable drafting content for public-facing use.
  • Pashion for storytelling branding and appetite to understand consumer emotions and behaviors
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and eager to learn.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
