Position Summary

The Assistant Golf Coach at Concordia University Wisconsin campus is responsible for assisting the head coach in administering the following aspects of the golf program including: coaching recruiting fund-raising and compliance with CAA and conference rules/regulations. The Assistant Golf Coach reports to the Head Golf Coach. This is a part-time position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aid the head coach with practices transportation of the teams and recruiting.
  • Vast knowledge of the game of golf.
  • Have a philosophy (style) of gameplay on the course.
  • Great verbal communication skills both with the head coach and the players.
  • Motivated to teach the golf swing mental toughness and resiliency.
  • Creative in helping fundraising efforts.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational abilities professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule
  • Knowledge in the trends of the respective sport
  • Available evenings and weekends
  • Occasional overnight travel in season
  • Extensive travel with teams
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

Education and Experience

  • High school Diploma.
  • Knowledge of the game competency to demonstrate and a working understanding of the rules along with course management are critical for success.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time position. Starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience.
