What were looking for
The right candidate will assist Program Director and Associate Program Director in management and direction of residency training program. The Internal Medicine (IM) Residency Program Manager continually assesses evaluates and manages a wide range of programmatic responsibilities including long term planning resident recruitment project development workflow review database management faculty and resident communication with respect to a variety of topics and issues as well as internal and external program relations management. This individual will also support various aspects of the Department of Graduate Medical Education (GME). Activities will require an individual who has strong organizational and communication skills detail for accuracy and ability to multi-task. Maintain confidential records. Assignments may be long term and require the individual to track and monitor accomplishments. Ensures a positive organizational image through cost effective measures optimal lines of communication and effective support of all programs within area of responsibility. The IM Residency Program Manager will be required to conform to the rules and regulations of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as it relates to.
Applicants must have BS/BA degree required. Equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree. Additional requirements include:
The national board certification for Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) is a plus. Board eligible for TAGME certification or eligible to apply for TAGME certification after three (3) years in GME
Minimum Work Experience
Five (5) years experience in office administration professional administrative or management experience.
Knowledge of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Accreditation Council of Graduate
Medical Education (ACGME) common program requirements is preferred with a minimum of two (2) of those years in a healthcare related setting is required.
Two (2) years in a medical education program preferred.
