Wood Mackenzie is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Research Analyst to join our Upstream team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our industry-leading research and insights into the global upstream oil and gas sector helping clients navigate the evolving energy landscape.
Deliver high-quality research and analysis on upstream assets companies and market trends.
Maintain and enhance asset-level valuations and emissions profiles using proprietary models.
Interpret complex datasets to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
Engage with industry stakeholders to validate assumptions and gather market intelligence.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in research outputs.
Produce thought leadership content including reports presentations and client briefings.
Support clients in strategic decision-making portfolio benchmarking and investment analysis.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Economics Geoscience or a related field.
5 years of experience in upstream oil and gas research consulting or industry roles.
Strong understanding of upstream operations asset economics and fiscal regimes.
Experience with valuation models and emissions analysis is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel Power BI Python).
