Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring site access enforcing security policies conducting inspections and reporting irregular activity. This role requires vigilance strong attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to potential security threats.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and control entrance gates by confirming credentials of guests visitors and employees entering and exiting the site.
Conduct random vehicle inspections upon site entry and exit.
Report advise and update Chief of Security on all security-related issues.
Write maintain and present detailed reports regarding damages theft or other irregular activity.
Enforce policies by issuing warning citations to violators.
Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities informing violators of procedures and restraining trespassers when necessary.
Pass biannual physical fitness and firearms qualification tests.
Administer drug and breathalyzer tests.
Conduct frequent patrols of the perimeter and grounds to ensure security.
Remain vigilant for unusual or potentially threatening activity.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelors degree preferred).
Prior experience in law enforcement military or private security preferred.
Must successfully pass background check and drug screening.
Ability to meet and maintain physical fitness and firearms qualification standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Must be available for shifts that may include nights weekends and holidays.
