Job Overview:
The Outside Sales Manager will be responsible for building and leading a team of outside sales representatives managing daily operations and improving team performance. This role involves setting sales goals tracking progress coaching team members and ensuring compliance with company standards. Success in this position requires strong leadership communication and motivational abilities to help the team achieve and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and scale the outside sales team from the ground up.
  • Recruit onboard train and mentor outside sales representatives.
  • Set and manage daily weekly and monthly performance goals.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions to drive team growth and improvement.
  • Foster a positive energetic and results-driven team culture.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
  • Implement and optimize outside sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of sales activities and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Collaborate with director of sales to align outside efforts with company objectives.
  • Work with marketing to provide reps with materials and support required in the field.
Performance Management:
  • Track key sales metrics and analyze data to identify performance trends.
  • Motivate and hold the team accountable for individual and group performance.
  • Address underperformance through coaching and feedback.
Operational Oversight:
  • Oversee scheduling and territory planning for outside sales routes.
  • Ensure team members comply with company policies and sales procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads sales activity and performance.
  • Report on sales outcomes and team operations to the Sales Operations Manager.
Customer Relations:
  • Service as the escalation point for customer concerns raised by the sales team.
  • Promote high customer satisfaction through professional ethical and respectful sales practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven success in outside sales with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role ideally in a sales environment.
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced high-energy environments.
  • Proficient with basic technology (tablets SalesRabbit HubSpot).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Must be reliable punctual and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Experience with permits and compliance processes especially related to field operations or sales.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Regular travel is required for this role; dependable transportation is essential.
Salary: $70000 - $75000 based on experience
