The Bancassurance Account Manager is responsible for driving the product strategy and managing the in-force portfolio to ensure growth and profitability of the Bancassurance channel. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to optimize product offerings maintain robust relationships with internal external and bank partners and enhance the overall performance of the in-force business.
Position Responsibilities:
Product Strategy
Lead the development and implement product strategies that align with the overall business objectives and market demands.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new product development or enhancements to existing product offerings.
Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development marketing and sales to ensure the successful launch and promotion of products.
Liaise and collaborate with regional and global colleagues to learn best practices and adapt product strategies being implemented in other Manulife markets
In-force Management
Accountable to monitor and analyze the performance of the existing in-force portfolio to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement and growth.
Develop strategies to enhance customer retention reduce lapses and maximize the profitability of the in-force business.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with bank partners to drive product sales and achieve business objectives.
Provide training and support to bank partners on product features benefits and sales techniques.
Act as the primary point of contact for bank partners on product related issues or concerns and handle them promptly and effectively.
Reporting and Analysis
Prepare regular reports and presentations on product performance market trends and strategic initiatives for senior management.
Use data analytics to derive insights and make informed decisions regarding product strategy and in-force management.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all products and processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with risk management and compliance teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Holder in Business Administration Finance Insurance or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
With at least 5 years relevant experience preferably in insurance banking and / or fintech.
Project and Campaign Management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with CRM systems and bancassurance platforms.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Must have strong written verbal and presentation communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Human Centered Design (HCD) and Agile experience would be an advantage
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with experience working with banking partners or similar stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborates effectively with the team as well as internal and external stakeholders while not afraid to constructively challenge current ideas and ways of thinking to strengthen the partnership
Possesses a sense of ownership accountability and commitment to the work being developed and delivered
