Job Summary

APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation positioned at the intersection of music data and technology. We have more than 124000 members who are songwriters composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play perform copy or record our members music and we distribute the royalties to our members.


We are seeking reliable professional and pro-active candidates to join the OneMusic team as casual Compliance Officers. Our compliance officers typically work 3 - 6 hours each week. Days of work are usually Thursday to Sunday and between the hours of 12pm 9pm when assigned to visit retail restaurant and fitness centres or between the hours of 9pm to 3am when visiting nightclubs and music venues.


The Compliance Officer role sits within the OneMusic Australia department of APRA AMCOS. The positions primary function is to collect and report information of music usage and/or attendance in the fitness hospitality and retail sectors to assist with the substantiation of OneMusic license fees.

Due to the nature of this role it is based across Brisbane the lands of Turrbal and Yuggera people.


As a Compliance Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Verify music usage at selected venues across the state.
  • Record key details: venue capacity music type (live/DJ) devices used attendance layout date/time door charge and track/composer info.
  • Occasionally collect recorded evidence and submit a report.
  • Visit locations such as fitness centres (including attending classes) hotels restaurants events and retail stores.
  • May be asked to identify new businesses in sectors like retail fitness and hospitality.



To thrive in this role youll need:

  • A good general knowledge of the local area including music venues hospitality and other businesses.
  • Physically able to attend all types of venues including fitness classes.
  • A current drivers licence and access to a reliable car.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Solid administration skills.
