Vehicle Service Coordinator - Business Development Center (BDC)

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Vehicle Service Coordinator to join our automotive dealership BDR will play a key role in driving service department growth by building relationships with customers promoting service offerings and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This position requires a proactive approach to generating leads scheduling service appointments and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Outreach: Proactively contact existing and potential customers via phone email and other channels to promote vehicle service offerings including routine maintenance repairs and seasonal service packages.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments by coordinating with customers and the service department to ensure efficient workflow and customer convenience.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and foster loyalty to the dealerships service department.
  • Service Promotion: Educate customers on the benefits of regular vehicle maintenance service specials and warranty programs to drive service bookings.
  • Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up communications with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction address concerns and encourage future visits.
  • Data Management: Accurately input and update customer information service history and interactions in the dealerships CRM system.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the service department team including service advisors and technicians to ensure seamless customer experiences and alignment on service goals.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and customer preferences to tailor outreach strategies effectively.
  • Performance Tracking: Meet or exceed monthly targets for service appointments customer retention and lead conversion rates.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales customer service or business development preferably in the automotive or service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on building rapport and trust.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office email platforms).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic understanding of automotive services and maintenance (training provided as needed).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field preferred.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Self-motivated goal-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to changing customer needs.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position typically 40 hours per week with occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate customer schedules.
  • Work primarily conducted in an office setting within the dealership with some time spent in the service department.
  • Fast-paced environment with regular customer interactions via phone email and in-person.
