Security Officer (Full Time) Job Description The FWCD Security Officer is the front line of protecting the school community and managing risk in a manner respectful of the school core values culture and climate. The officer helps to provide an environment that ensures the students safety and supports the schools mission. The FWCD Security Officer reports directly to the Director and/or the Assistant Director or Security and Safety. We are currently looking to fill a full-time position with the following expected work hours listed below. Hours and days off can change due to departmental needs. Monday thru Friday 2pm-10pm The Security Officer is responsible for delivering essential security services while upholding the duties and privileges inherent to the position. This role ensures the safety and security of the campus through regular patrols traffic regulation and the protection of the rights and property of students faculty staff and the broader FWCD community. Security Officers are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism at all times. As representatives of the community and role models for students they must present themselves with integrity respect and accountability. A neat and clean appearance is required and adherence to the schools dress code and grooming standards is mandatory.
l. Visitor Management-The school is a private institution and only allows visitors deliveries and contractors that are authorized to enter. Officers will verify that the visitor is authorized to enter campus and run their drivers license or id through the Raptor visitor management system that compares them to the national sex offender registry. This ensures that visitor attempting to make entry to the school are not registered offenders in an attempt to keep the community safe. m. Special Events-Officers are required to work during large special events such as varsity football games carnivals graduation college fair and other designated events. Officers will not be authorized to take off during special events without proper consideration.
Will train. Must pass state requirements. Must be a self-starter mature reliable and need little supervision. This position requires the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment often managing multiple events occurring simultaneously across campus. No person will be considered/called for an interview without a resume. Those applicants that are viewed as viable by the security director and supervisors will be called for an interview. |
