Job Summary
- Makes physical inspections and security checks of grounds and facility and documents results.
- Supervises Security Officers and coordinates with them to achieve tasks
- Reports fires and assists in suppressing fires.
- Investigates incidents on center and provides clear and accurate reports.
- Performs First-Aid and CPR as needed.
- Controls disturbances and assists staff in de-escalating volatile situations.
- Ensures students civil rights are not violated.
- Transports students as assigned.
- Demonstrates helpful responsible and caring attitude.
- Picks up and delivers material as directed.
- Performs routine vehicle inspections on GSA fleet.
- Reports vehicle repair needs to supervisor.
- Completes required security logs documentation and records accurately and on time.
- Maintains timely and accurate vehicle and transportation logs and records.
- Maintains timely and accurate student accountability
- Accurately logs employees visitors vendors and students as they enter and exit the center.
- Searches all students entering center for contraband.
- Searches others entering and exiting center as directed.
- Supervises students in isolation.
- Answers the phone in a timely manner.
- Ensures phone is used for official business only

Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. One-year security or law enforcement experience or successful military experience preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 Year Experience Required
Supervisory Experience Preferred
Certifications Licenses Registrations:
Valid Drivers License and good driving record. Commercial Drivers License with Air Brake and Passenger endorsements is preferred
