Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring supplied materials components and assembles meet quality standards and support optimal factory performance. This role involves working closely with suppliers procurement and manufacturing teams to identify investigate and resolve quality issues that affect production efficiency product reliability and customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

  • Facilitate open communication and alignment between supplier and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Organize and lead regular supplier collaboration meetings to review quality concerns performance metrics and improvement plans.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive supplier corrective and preventative actions.

  • Monitor and verify effectiveness of corrective actions through audits and performance tracking.

  • Support production teams by troubleshooting incoming material issues to minimize line disruptions.

  • Maintain an accurate records of supplier quality issues investigations and resolutions.

  • Develop and conduct audit processes for incoming material.

  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Analyze non-conformance data to identify trends and recurring supplier problems.

  • Participate in and offer technical support to internal and external audits

What you will have:

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Working knowledge of the concepts principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

  • Quality Management: Working knowledge of quality management methods tools and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

  • Collaborating: Basic understanding and knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

  • Problem Solving: Basic understanding and knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Working knowledge and understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Manufacturing Standards Procedures and Policies: Working knowledge of organizational standards procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan guide and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.

Degree Required

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Alpharetta GA and requires 5 day a week in-office availability.

  • Travel expected 10% or less

Summary Pay Range:

$87480.00 - $131280.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
