Salary: 35000
Job Type: Full Time 37.5 hours a week

About the role
As a Junior Platform Engineer you will support the design deployment and maintenance of infrastructure systems that meet best practice security compliance and performance requirements of the healthcare industry. Youll be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on automation observability and reliability helping deliver highly available and compliant platforms.
The role and responsibilities
- Assist with deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and containerized workloads in AWS
- Help maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
- Support the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Contribute to monitoring alerting and logging systems (e.g. CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana)
- Work on automated provisioning scaling and configuration of infrastructure resources using AWS services (EKS EC2 S3 RDS IAM VPC etc.)
- Participate in on call rotations and root cause analysis of platform-related incidents
- Maintain internal documentation on platform tools policies and operational procedures
- Collaborate with security compliance and development teams to meet healthcare-specific requirements
Required Experience
Must-Have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization concepts (Docker)
- Understanding of cloud networking IAM and basic infrastructure components
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Basic scripting experience (Python Bash or similar)
- Interest in infrastructure automation and security best practices
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with EKS Terraform and Helm
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana CloudWatch)
- Experience with container security scanning and policy tools (e.g. Aqua Trivy OPA)
