Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join our dynamic IT brokerage team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams driving digital transformation and operational efficiency across underwriting claims and policy administration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with underwriting claims actuarial and IT teams to gather and document business requirements for P&C insurance products and services.
Analyze and optimize business processes related to policy administration claims handling and broker operations.
Translate business needs into functional specifications user stories and data mapping documents.
Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement and automation.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and align on priorities.
Support QA and UAT activities by creating test plans executing test cases and reviewing results.
Ensure traceability of requirements from business objectives through to implementation and testing.
Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field.
3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty insurance domain preferably within an IT brokerage or insurance technology environment.
Strong understanding of P&C insurance lifecycle including policy claims and underwriting.
Experience with business process modeling data analysis and requirements documentation.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA Confluence Visio and SQL.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with MGA/MGU operations or program administration.
Familiarity with insurance platforms and policy administration systems.
Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in Agile environments.
