Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join our dynamic IT brokerage team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams driving digital transformation and operational efficiency across underwriting claims and policy administration systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with underwriting claims actuarial and IT teams to gather and document business requirements for P&C insurance products and services.
- Analyze and optimize business processes related to policy administration claims handling and broker operations.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications user stories and data mapping documents.
- Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement and automation.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and align on priorities.
- Support QA and UAT activities by creating test plans executing test cases and reviewing results.
- Ensure traceability of requirements from business objectives through to implementation and testing.
- Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
- Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues to stakeholders.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field.
- 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty insurance domain preferably within an IT brokerage or insurance technology environment.
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance lifecycle including policy claims and underwriting.
- Experience with business process modeling data analysis and requirements documentation.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA Confluence Visio and SQL.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills: - Experience with MGA/MGU operations or program administration.
- Familiarity with insurance platforms and policy administration systems.
- Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in Agile environments.
