Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance to join our dynamic IT brokerage team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams driving digital transformation and operational efficiency across underwriting claims and policy administration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with underwriting claims actuarial and IT teams to gather and document business requirements for P&C insurance products and services.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes related to policy administration claims handling and broker operations.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications user stories and data mapping documents.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement and automation.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to validate requirements and align on priorities.
  • Support QA and UAT activities by creating test plans executing test cases and reviewing results.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements from business objectives through to implementation and testing.
  • Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of solutions.
  • Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field.
  • 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Property & Casualty insurance domain preferably within an IT brokerage or insurance technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance lifecycle including policy claims and underwriting.
  • Experience with business process modeling data analysis and requirements documentation.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA Confluence Visio and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with MGA/MGU operations or program administration.
  • Familiarity with insurance platforms and policy administration systems.
  • Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in Agile environments.
