Job Summary:
The Penetration Testing Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments including penetration tests vulnerability assessments and code reviews across the organizations IT infrastructure. This role involves identifying security risks advising on mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with security standards. The specialist will also lead threat hunting and red team exercises to proactively identify vulnerabilities.
Location: Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Conduct penetration tests vulnerability assessments code reviews threat hunting network vulnerability assessments and red team exercises.
- Define evaluate and assess security requirements and safeguards for systems environments and IT projects.
- Ensure the incorporation of IT security and contingency measures in the development and secure deployment of systems.
- Advise on the identification analysis and resolution of specific security factors risks vulnerabilities and privacy issues.
- Carry out information and information technology (I&IT) security projects and tasks as assigned.
- Write reports document risks and make recommendations for diverse audiences.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 10 years of experience conducting penetration tests.
- 10 years of experience reviewing source code.
- 10 years of experience writing reports.
- Strong understanding of security architecture application and network security testing.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment methodologies tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of techniques to secure information assets and implement security technologies.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and corporate directives related to information security and confidentiality.
- Solid knowledge of current security and contingency technology and techniques.
- Experience in establishing secure environments at a network operating system or application level.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
