Job Summary
Job Title: Engineer Product
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Location: Waterloo IA 50613
Shift: 1st Shift Onsite Start between 7:00 AM 8:30 AM
Role Summary:
The Engineer Product I Embedded Software will support product design testing and analysis for defined project components. This role involves embedded software development documentation feasibility testing and continuous process improvements while working in a collaborative cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform embedded software design development and debugging (C/C).
- Contribute to feasibility testing process documentation and compliance with engineering standards.
- Create and maintain technical/user documentation and backups.
- Support UAT validation and quality inspections under senior guidance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.
- Identify shortcomings in processes and propose improvements.
- Apply safe systems of work and project risk management practices.
- Stay current with embedded technologies real-time operating systems and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent).
- Experience in embedded firmware/software development.
- Proficiency in C or C programming.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools (oscilloscopes logic analyzers debuggers).
- Familiarity with GitHub or other version control systems.
- Understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Nice to Have:
- Python programming experience.
- CAN communication networks J1939/ISO11783 protocols.
- Signal processing techniques (digital filters FFTs etc.).
- Exposure to advanced algorithms (Machine Learning AI).
