Job Description:
- Manages Sustaining R&D Projects with internal and external resources
Your Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage projects from initial assessment through implementation (commercialization)
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans timelines and stakeholder communication strategies.
- Formulate project proposals
- Support strategic evaluations of potential projects and preparation of business cases.
- Oversee implementation processes identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures
Required Knowledge Skills Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in engineering (such as mechanical biomedical software or electrical) or other STEM degree (such as Biology Chemistry etc.)
- Sustaining R&D R&D and/or Manufacturing engineering experience with the medical devices.
- Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to lead and work well with teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project Jira).
- Documentation skills DHF experience.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a plus. High level of integrity discretion and resilience under pressure.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Position Description:
- Manages projects with responsibility for successful execution:
- Executes the project within the defined requirements (e.g. budget time functionality).
- Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer and ensures professional stakeholder management.
- Ensures timely decisions on open issues escalating if necessary.
In the context of Engineering
- Manages a network of technical specialists in order to realize customer specific components systems or solutions.
- Coordinates the Engineering disciplines and the cooperation with involved regional Engineering units including their interfaces.
- Performs technical risk management.
- Acts as interface to e.g. responsible for technical risks and opportunities.
- Impacts: Financial performance and business risk expected: medium.
- Contractual Complexity of project: low. Technical Complexity: medium. Organization complexity: low.
- Typical Budget (accountably managed): 2.5 M EUR to 7 M EUR p.a. Typical Budget (influenced as key contributor): higher volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Manager Local / Regional Business Projects (small): Facilitates the execution of project/program solution plan for complex projects or programs.
- Responsible for delivery of complex project/program plans.
- Supports the project/program management role (definition of schedule budget risk change opportunity and resource allocation management) for complex projects or programs.
- Acts as a functional or business process resource on projects or programs.
- Facilitates execution of continuous improvement plan.
- May perform active role in maintaining client relationships and sales opportunities.
- Higher level: Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts (with clients and service providers).
- Lower level: Primarily intra-organizational contacts; external contacts occur in the frame of client projects.
- Experience: 4-8 years.
- Knowledge: Certified as Project Manager (according to ): Manages (at least) medium projects and is expected to further run plans of same/higher complexity (or equal knowledge
