Role Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will focus on outbound sales and opportunity creation engaging property owners and decision-makers to generate qualified sales meetings. The BDR bridges the gap between lead generation (SDR function) and closing (Account Executives) ensuring that Fieldtrip secures new business opportunities and expands its luxury vacation rental portfolio.

Core Functions

1. Outbound Prospecting & Engagement

  • Proactively reach out to absentee owners and luxury property stakeholders.
  • Conduct cold calls personalized email outreach and LinkedIn engagement.
  • Use messaging strategies to articulate Fieldtrips value proposition.

2. Qualification & Discovery

  • Qualify prospects through structured discovery calls.
  • Assess property owner needs goals and fit for Fieldtrips services.
  • Apply qualification frameworks (BANT MEDDIC or equivalent) to ensure high-quality pipeline.

3. Opportunity Creation

  • Schedule demos and sales meetings for Account Executives or senior sales team.
  • Nurture relationships with prospects until they are sales-ready.
  • Track and document conversations and outcomes in the CRM.

4. CRM & Pipeline Ownership

  • Manage assigned accounts and opportunities in CRM (Zoho Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Log touchpoints update statuses and ensure accuracy in sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with SDRs to transition leads smoothly into opportunities.

5. Reporting & Feedback

  • Provide weekly reporting on outbound activity meetings booked and pipeline created.
  • Share insights from prospect conversations to refine outreach strategy.
  • Recommend improvements to campaigns messaging and workflows.

Non-Negotiables (from Client Discussion)

  • Mid-level sales experience preferred (24 years ideally in SaaS sales).
  • CRM expertise: Zoho Salesforce or similar.
  • Cold outreach strength: proven success with email phone and LinkedIn prospecting.
  • Polished communicator: articulate elegant and professional presence.
  • Career-oriented with strong job history and growth mindset.
  • Must work Pacific Standard Time hours.
